Lisa at a Glance: The heart and soul of Glance! This is where the Glance vision was born. From finding the right frame to selecting the best lens for each person, Lisa is the master. Crazy, goofy, talented, Lisa loves the world and the world loves her!
On Her First Pair of Glasses: They were the bane of my existence! In the third grade, my first pair of glasses changed my name to “Four Eyes”, made the cute little boy stop chasing me at recess, and completely altered whatever social structure could be possible at 8 years old!
On Finding the Perfect Eyewear: The only way to change the past is to give it value. Thanks to experiencing what ill-fitting glasses can do to a person, I now know what appropriate eyewear can do for a person! Glasses are an expression of who you are and how you feel. There is something very intimate about introducing someone to the frames that let their spirit shine!
On Beauty: Beauty is EVERYWHERE! It’s in everyone, every place, every thing! Sometimes it’s apparent, and sometimes we need to look closer, but it is always present.
On Laughter: I love laughter! Laughter is liberating; it’s refreshing. It is music, melody and song. Laughter is contagious and unites us all!
On Humility: Humility is not thinking less of one’s self, but rather thinking of one’s self, less.
On Giving Back: Giving back to the world is as natural as breathing, laughing and crying. It’s a part of nature’s balance in the world. I believe when we are spiritually fit on the inside, it reflects outward and reveals itself as kindness, compassion and genuine love for our fellows.
Favorite Vacation: All travel is life changing! My first trip to Europe with my mother was only the beginning. My honeymoon cruise, years later, to the Mediterranean increased my travel appetite! They say “Travel is the demise of ignorance and bigotry.” That tells the story!
Favorite Song: “It’s a Wonderful World.” Louis “Sachimo” Armstrong
Favorite Quote: “The two most important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you find out why.” - Mark Twain
