Press Release Portland, OR (October 10, 2012)
by Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation
In an effort to provide eyeglasses to people in need, Bob and Lisa Martinsson of Glance Optics and Eyewear donated 225 pairs of new, unused frames, which retail at approximately $250 each, to the Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation (OLSHF).
OLSHF has two programs that provide free eyeglasses to people in need locally and to impoverished countries. This donation will support these programs which enable low income, uninsured and underinsured individuals to receive the gift of sight through eyeglasses. Last year alone, the OLSHF eyeglass programs assisted 65,180 individuals.
It is through the support and generosity of partners like Glance Optics and Eyewear that OLSHF is able to provide life changing programs and services to people who have nowhere else to turn.
Glance Optics and Eyewear, with downtown locations in both Lake Oswego and Salem, is a premier fashion shop with a unique selection of eyewear from around the world, cutting‐edge optical technology and exceptional individualized customer service.
The Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation, founded in 1959, serves as the non‐profit arm of the Lions Clubs of Oregon.
